BIOLOGY GREENHOUSE FACILITIES
The Department of Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech operates three greenhouse facilities. Two are located in the Washington Street Greenhouse Complex and house our Teaching Plant Collection, featuring over 300 plant species that support a wide range of educational programs.
Looking for a space to conduct your research? Our Plant Growth Facility on Smithfield Plantation Road is dedicated to advanced research projects that promote molecular plant sciences. It offers spacious growth bays, cutting-edge environmental controls, daily watering, and pest management, and can accommodate transgenic plant research at BL1-P containment levels.
